Mosquitos

Why do they bite us?

In our natural world we witness smaller animals being preyed upon by larger animals. Every species has a predator. It is unfathomable how each species relies upon other species for survival. Examine any species, its survival is dependent upon a different species. Independent life is unimaginable. Even though modernity suggests species evolved to the present form, it utterly fails to suggest, comprehensively, the entire transition from a primitive to the present state. What part of natural processes, and circumstances led to evolution? How did the species develop the intelligence to evaluate food shortages? How did the evolved species receive training to explore a path unknown to the species’ ancestors? Many basic questions should arise in our minds when we see dependency across our natural world. Independence is not seen even in the basic elements found in nature. Questions about life cannot be left unanswered. Science does not possess answers for all that we witness can be concluded effortlessly. Nature is a dependent construction. We need to isolate the dependencies in nature to understand both our existence as well as that of the broader nature.

Deconstruction of nature is prerequisite for our existential elevation. Furthermore, it must be independently verified by each generation. Knowledge cannot be dictatorial in character. The necessity to learn, practice, and utilize ancestral knowledge fades from our intellect over generations. Ancestral knowledge need not be from eons back. Even modern theories discovered within the past century are proving unworthy of discovery by the present generation. How many of us have a need to understand Theory of Relativity? What Albert Einstein discovered does not have relevance for much of the population. Knowledge must exist in a form that every generation can verify independently to propel their journey in life. Else, our curiosity dies. Incurious humanity leads to a slow and methodical degradation of society and nations. We can witness the stench of the dimmed human mind in many parts of the world.

How do we deconstruct nature? How do we engage in the deconstruction process? How expensive is the experiment? It is necessary to understand that esoteric knowledge is a privilege; it is not knowledge. The utilitarian quality for humanity of private and confidential knowledge is zero. It does not possess value that humanity can derive. The value is derived only by the possessor of mystical knowledge. Nature exists on a utilitarian quality of all species. Superiority in nature cannot be witnessed. Modern knowledge is spread sparsely. It is not equal to all of us. We utilize devices, and derive comforts, but our ability to create products is beyond our capacity. We do not possess knowledge of the products and services used by us. AI is making an entry into our lives. Do we know how it will benefit all of humanity? It is esoteric knowledge. We do not benefit from AI’s entry into our lives. We will become subservient to an unknown producer of AI services and products. The usage of ‘AI will change our lives,’ has dual edges. It will make the discoverer and producer extremely wealthy, and it will render the ordinary to a subordinary status. Is it not the tale of modernity of the past century plus?

Knowledge must be discoverable by each generation. It must be independently verifiable. It must be discovered observationally. It must be constructed logically and philosophically. It must be ageless, value priceless, invigorate the mind, and effulgent to display invisible phenomenon. The tenets of knowledge must be applicable across every object in nature. It should solve existential problems in our lives. All these attributes must be present in knowledge. Else, we cannot deem it as knowledge.

So, how do we deconstruct nature? For the sake of brevity, we will examine soil exclusively. Soil exists in manifold forms. It varies in color and texture. It exists as stone and mountains. It exists as islands and continents. It exists as movable physical bodies. It exists as dried seeds. Soils shape and form is vast and diverse. Transformed soil is every physical body we see, consume, and use to manufacture products. How did soil come into existence? Does soil exist without dependence?

A seed offers an excellent opportunity for us to understand the dependencies. Seeds hide the entire plant. It hides the roots, leaves, stems, branches, flowers, and fruits. The physical manifestation of the tree is hidden within the seed. Hidden in dormant form. The manifest growth of a tree is the transformation of soil. Every aspect of a tree manifests soil in a different form than our recognition of soil. The tree did not travel to a store to acquire various parts of the tree. It was encapsulated in the seed. If we plant the seed in soil without watering, it will not germinate. Seed germinates only when it becomes wet. We can experiment by placing a seed in wet cloth. A few days later, the seed develops the main root. Root and seed are manifestations of soil. We can see every aspect of a plant turn to dirt through decomposition. Thus, soil is dependent upon water. Water is the life-giving element in nature. A seed awakened by the moist cloth grows the root. Soil, thus, is derived from water.

We can deconstruct every element in nature to see the dependencies on one another. Soil is dependent on water, water is dependent on fire, fire is dependent on air, air is dependent on sky. Dependencies do not end with the sky. The qualities are inherited too with each element. Sky’s quality is sound, air has the quality of touch, and the inherited quality of sound, fire has the quality color and shape and the inherited touch and sound, water’s quality is taste and inherited quality of color, touch, and sound, earth’s quality is fragrance, and the inherited quality of taste, color and shape, touch, and sound. Ancestors have gone far beyond the sky to discover the root of everything. However, the discussion is limited to the innate connection mosquitoes have with humans!

Humans are not troubled as much by large predatory animals as we are by tiny insects. Mosquitoes are not the lone insect that unleashes havoc on humanity. There are many more. Why do these insects with a life span of a few weeks choose to trouble us? We are dependent not only on the resources of Earth, but our dependency includes animals too. As the superior race on Earth, it is natural for every species to endeavor for higher order life. The rule of dependency is that higher order life will receive benefits from subordinate life. We witness that in modern society too. The ultra wealthy amongst us are benefited by all of humanity. The ultra wealthy assume a superior status than the ordinary people. The laws of nature are undeniable in modern, or ancestral times.

A mosquito bites a human being. We smack it down, hit ourselves while the mosquito escapes unharmed. Is it not a strange phenomenon? Why aren’t we protected from the tiniest species? These insects do not trouble other species of animals. They coexist in perfect harmony. Humans coexist in perfect harmony too, when we observe the poorest, who live close to nature, are not ravaged by insect borne diseases. Why does such bias exist in nature? We see the poor living close to nature as uncivilized, but the civilized society gets severely punished. Scientific explanation for mosquito’s attraction to humans fails us if it cannot explain the reason why the poorest are least impacted with insect species. The bite of mosquito, the troubles it produces for modern humanity need a qualitative explanation.

Mosquitoes and other tiny insect forms are subtle reminders to humans that it once lived as a human too. It reminds us that we are just a step away from negating the value of human birth. We are risking the value of our birth with unornamented pursuits, celebrating anomalous tendencies, cohabitation with nature replaced by industrial dependence, true eternal knowledge is discredited as unscientific, cultured adorns cultureless status, and uncultured gains acceptance as cultured degrades our existence. We are not deriving benefits from our birth, nor nature receiving benefits.

When knowledge underserves nature, it must remind species of higher order that life is a mere step away to the lowest form. Perfection in nature is a rule. If it does not alert us to the dangers lurking near, maintaining perfection will be elusive. If perfection is elusive, order in nature will not exist. Order and perfection are hallmark signs of nature. Understanding those traits is our responsibility. When we understand our broader nature, our existential fragrance will be unattractive to insect species. We will be free from diseases and troubles in life too. The simplicity of nature is beguiling. Post-modern times usher in the simpler times. Simpler, but utterly enriching.
