Zero plus zero equals zero. Zero minus zero equals zero. Zero plus One is One. Zero minus One is negative One. Zero when added or subtracted, One remains as a positive, or negative integer. The value of One remains eternally. Zero multiplied by zero is zero. Zero multiplied by One is zero. One is not multipliable. One will remain, eternally, One. One is the ultimate. There cannot be a second One. The foundational integrity collapses if more than One exists in the Universe. Zero divided by One is zero. However, One divided by zero is infinity. Why? One cannot be split into tinier components. Our body is One. Can we imagine splitting our body into manifold One’s? It is an unattainable task.
The distance between zero to One is one unit. However, in between zero to one, uncountable numbers exist in fractional forms. It can be 0.999999+, but one decillionth will be off from One. The multitude of life forms that exist in the vastness of the cosmos are all fractions of One. Every one of those multitudes cannot aspire to reach One, except human species. We are the 0.9999999+ race in this universe. We possess an ability to see ourselves, the broader Universe, and beyond the Universe unlike all other species.
The world we are a part of is impermanent; changes eternally. An opposite quality must exist because we witness duality in our world. Day and night; good and bad; edible and inedible. Beyond the Universe is not an illusionary construction of our minds. Observationally and deductively, we can arrive at the existence of a Universe with distinct and unique attributes from the world we witness. Thus, a permanent and unchanging Universe’s existence is validated. Our arduous life’s journey will be trivial and uninspiring without a World of eternality. Less than a century of existence, productive years in that span is less than 50 years, to leave everything earned behind should make us deliberate on existential struggles of humanity. Our existential world negates the fragrance of humanity. Humanity, a meaningless word. The vastness, a desert. Our life, empty.
Empty, it cannot be. The value for existence must be discoverable, experienceable, joyful, and meaningful, our onward journey from this body. We came into existence with unknown baggage. Baggage, which made us rich, or poor, healthy, or unhealthy, happy, or unhappy. In short, we are experiencing outcomes beyond our control. If life acted as we wish, none of us should endure difficulties in life. Yet, we witness people experiencing life from inexplicable angles. We cannot attribute life to our efforts watching the unfolding of humanitarian drama. Life, the same for seven billion people, yet the experiences are singular. If you take ancestral generations into account, they experienced different outcomes too. We cannot find parallel lives in ancestral, or present times. This is unique to humanity. Other species are not subjected to the volatility humanity experiences because their mind is undiscoverable. The mind exists in every entity, but in a sealed, and hard wired, and inaccessible environment for other species. They are helpless; humanity has the potential to discover and unravel life’s baggage permanently. We will be as close to One as possible when the baggage is unraveled. We cease to be zero and reach One.
How many attempts do we get to discover the baggage we carry? We have taken countless births as humans in the times gone by. This is not our first try in a human body. We journey in this body for a transformative purpose. Upon completion of our journey, we should attain permanence in life. However, many of us do not attain existential permanence. Selfish desires, and undiscovered eternality locks permanence out of the existential realm. Our baggage is called ‘karma.’ Immeasurable, the wealth of births and deaths in various bodies. Our birth is only a tiny portion of the ‘karma’ in our possession. ‘Karma’ must be completely spent to reach the end of birth and death. Beneficial events are validated as ours, and non-beneficial due to ‘karma.’ How do we attribute only the beneficial events to our account, and all others to an external source? It is illogical to credit ourselves for agreeable outcomes, but disagreeable are credited to an external source.
Good or bad in our life is all due to the baggage we have accumulated in our past. Every object tiny or large exists due to ‘karma.’ Human birth is a rare event. It is a treasure of all births. Humans are the exclusive race, in the cosmic vastness, who can discover the finitude, and impermanence of the existential world, and possess the ardent desire to reach eternality and permanence, which exists beyond the visible realm. The existence of eternality and permanence is guaranteed. An object, quality, or an entity does not exist without another object holding exactly the opposite qualities. Observe a lemon, it possesses sourness. However, when the sourness is extracted, an object remains with the opposite quality in the form of the squeezed lemon’s body. We have a body of lemon without juice, and we have lemon juice. Both were present within the same body. We separated them. An anti-object exists for every object. quality, or entity. Everything exists in a perishable state. Lemon juice, and lemon’s body both will perish because they are from the world of impermanence. The desirer in the lemon did not possess a choice to avoid juice extraction. He was in the possession of a desirer higher in status. In our transitional world, higher and higher order of desirers exist. Lower order desirers exist to serve desirers of higher order. Are the desirers of lower stature destined to suffer by desirers of higher stature? Appearances can be deceiving. The lowest of the low ascends higher and higher, gradually, to assume a higher order birth. This is our world.
A tiny drop of water can assume the body of a human. Humans can assume the body of a tiny drop of water. Life oscillates between these extremes. Do we want to be part of the violent extremes of life, or do we seek a release from the imprisonment of birth and death. We need to set our destination in our life. We have the potential to set our onward journey from this body. How can one set the destination without the knowledge of eternality, and transitional quality of existence? As we have seen in the case of lemon, a higher stature desirer controlled the journey of the lemon. Similarly, a highest order of DESIRER must exist too who is controlling our destiny. For, we are not achieving everything we seek existentially. Our defeats are greater than victories. We suffer from hunger and thirst, lust and sorrow, and birth and death. We are swimming in the ocean of these six qualities. We ride on the crest of these six qualities. Satisfaction is out of our reach. A wealthy, or a poor person are in the same identical ocean. Wealthy and poor are a transitional quality of nature. Wealthy today could well take birth as a poor person, and a poor person today can take birth as a wealthy person. It is not in our control.
Cruel existence! Is it? It is a galactic operational quality. It exists for the desirer, in us, to discover the DESIRER. We did not make up the rules. Someone did. The desirer in a human body has the potential to influence the DESIRER. Imagine a farmer, who develops an affinity with an animal he is raising. The farmer will protect the animal and will spare it from being butchered. The farmer is the higher DESIRER, and the animal lower desirer. The lower order desirer discovered the actions of the farmer and developed an inexplicable affinity. The farmer reciprocated. We have witnessed such events in our lives. Desirer influences DESIRER.
We are a lower order desirer is beyond doubt. The existence of DESIRER is unquestionable. Would we not endear ourselves to the DESIRER by discovering the realm just beyond the stars? It is not an improbable journey. The stars in the night sky attest to the benevolence showered upon by the DESIRER. A star is a much bigger desirer than us, they shine for us to communicate the possibilities available for us in our journey. Countless desirers have come and gone. They are stars amongst us. They left a treasure of knowledge for posterity.
One such small desirer was Nammalwar. Born to the lowest caste parents, who never attended school, could influence DESIRER to recite a stunning composition called Thiruvayimori. This occurred 5000+ years back. This composition is a treasure of knowledge that has survived 5000 years and will exist far longer than the trends in modern times. Why would it survive eternally? It reveals to us who we are, what our destiny is, what do we get upon reaching destiny, what is the path of least resistance, and what holds us back. These five questions are relevant to us even in modern times. In fact, every activity we perform stands upon answers to these questions. Be it a job, or any pursuit in life, these questions will have to be answered. Whatever we seek presently does not travel with us. We will take something with us upon departure. Thus, our acquisitive pursuits should consider the journey of life far beyond birth. Our next birth should shine as bright as the stars, eternally; else, our life is a wasted opportunity. Ever closer to One, but corrupted by desires, returned us closer to zero.
We need to take steps on Earth to reach the outer edges of galactic existence. Science, scientific thought, modernity, and the industrialists have not delivered riches to humanity. We are being led into a ditch with naming conventions for generations as though each generation must be raised to a distinct set of standards. If such a truth were to be the operational reality, then the existence of schools and colleges, which distribute ancestral discoveries, albeit of the modern era, should cease to exist. Laws should not exist because the newer generation will construct their own laws. Children should be left alone to discover their own destiny. Ancestry cannot provide guidance to a generation whose life is different from their parents. Nations, society, community, and the human fabric of life will be shredded to pieces in such an environment.
How did we drift away from ancestry? Who is behind the naming conventions for each generation? The events we are seeing in our lives do not augur good signs. One does not build a mansion in a swamp. Modernity is erecting a lifeless, purposeless, and valueless existential system, and labels it as progress. We cannot call ourselves the greatest, or the best in human history. The greatest and best modern achievements are a distant memory for most younger generations. A mere observation is sufficient to discover that problems have increased for humanity in the past half a millennium, health has degraded, and we are drifting further and further from our inner selves. Modernity exists like the squeezed body of lemon. Slowly drying up. How will modernity survive without adherents? Modern times have less than half a century of life left. Ancestral times have not faded. They are eternal. Life is eternal. Humanity is eternal.
