Humanity leans toward more. More of anything satisfies us innately. Natural tendency. Asked to choose, a child will opt for the greater quantity. Child does not evaluate that it might be purposeless to opt for more when one is sufficient. Greater quantity satisfies a primal desire in us. It is comforting like a mother’s hug. Soothes an inner existential sense when we possess more of a product. Child feels that destiny is in his palm. Adults are equally elated receiving more than bargained. A sense of undeniable joy of possessing more. Ancestry, or science, which among these two entities offer humanity, larger benefits? Benefit must offer an advantage now, and for many generations yet to manifest without impacting the environment. Else, it is not beneficial to humanity.
We have made a choice in the last century plus. We chose science. Science, especially Western science with a penchant for discovering the origins of life, emerged ahead of ancestry. Can the race be declared as decisive for the ages? Or does the debate rage on between religious and scientific leanings? Religious leanings are seen as archaic, and scientific leanings are seen through progressive lenses. The discordant duality of religion and science is elliptical in public forums. Proponents from both sides line up to promote their narrow interests. Humanity suffers when life is perched upon indefinite, and opaque judgements on our origins, and journey. Galactically, and microcosmic functions of our existential edifice are erected on the supremacy of definitive knowledge. How did humanity descend into the chaos of an unknown life journey? It is imperative for humans to rediscover the makeup of life. Life will exist in problems when we step into the world with uncertainty.
How can humanity guide the self, and future generations when our concept of life rests in a state of flux? It is illogical, and impractical to build life on assumptions, and theoretical concepts. Science, and to a significant extent various religions of the world, are trying to pull all the human beings through a common string. Science, and religion desire to see the human race as one. Does science, and religion share a common purpose to find convergence of humanity to serve their provincial interests? A question worthy of exploration in our minds.
For, our world exists in plurality. Earth, water, fire, air, sky, basic elements, exist in plurality. Earth, in turn, exists in plurality. It displays various forms whether in an arid desert, or vegetation rich rainforests, the majestic mountains, or the valleys, caves, or canyons, the richness of our Earth is indescribable. Every element has its own glory. They are ever new. It changes, but remains ready to serve with countless species, and humans. Thus, when the source of our dependence exhibits plurality, why are we in an evasive search for a singular thread to loop all of humanity as one?
Human world exists in plurality as well. Multitude of religions, and scientific theories on life. They can coexist in harmony. Religion, and science may differ with their propositions on life. They should not exist in conflict. Conflict does not serve humanitarian purposes. It will throw us into a whirlwind of uncertainty. Uncertainty in a Universe of certainty reveals that the generators of conflict will see their reign ending in the not-too-distant future. It is abundantly clear that the search for an exclusive, and unique garland to cover all of humanity exists in our plain sight. Science, and religion are checkmated when humanity steps up to discover philosophical effulgence of existential truth. We merely need to step up on to the platform of humanity, an erect structure with two hands, two legs, two eyes, two ears, a nose, a mouth, clothed, born into a culture, traditions, and family, able to speak, able to understand the past, present, and future, can reason, and many other identifiable aspects distinguishes human race from other species. Differences will exist among these attributes of humanity. Those differences are meant to be discovered and understood for humanity to ascend higher and higher in life.
Similarly, if we are perched upon the platform of life, everything in the cosmos can fit into the category of life. Every object, every molecule possesses life. The platform of life offers a plurality of life forms. Humans become indistinguishable on this platform. Each species brings a unique value to the ecosystem of life. Human species, and our Sun are equal on the platform of life. Sun possesses life; we possess life. Sun has energy; we have energy. Sun is one object; humanity is one object. The Sun’s life duration is several billion years, the age of humanity is several billion years too. Individual humans may live only up to a century, the human race existed for billions of years too. Our physical appearance differs, but attributes of life are common between the human race, and the nourisher of the Solar system.
Readers should step forward in their minds to question human erected existential systems of conflict. Whose nefarious purpose is being served in a conflicting world of science, and religion. Science does not have answers to the fundamental questions on life. It cannot answer the incongruity of the human condition. Why would any individual choose suffering, yet humans suffer for manifold reasons. The list of questions will be endless. Religions do not have the answers either. Life persists for humanity despite not possessing answers should alert us to a sinistrous plot by the wielders of power in present times. Concentration of power in the hands of few is clear indication that humanity is not being served by the narrative offered by science, religion, and other institutions of modern times that promote questionable choices of individuals.
The youth of modern times must discover far more than what is offered in educational institutions to avert a disastrous outcome looming large on the present-day children, and many generations yet to manifest. Structures of modernity are aging, and intellectually incompetent to offer foundational integrity for the youth. Children need unambiguous, and eternal truths to reestablish connection with life. When every species connects with life deftly, as a superior race living meagerly with essentials is an insult to our superiority as species. Interests of the youth are not protected, or nourished by giving generational names, making them less and less responsible, and displaying recklessness toward life supporting resources promises a future that is, indisputably, guaranteed to be unglamorous.
Today’s youth must confront that life is not reliant on industry, and industrial growth. Life is independent of industry. Industry relies on growth. Life relies on cooperation. Growth of an entity excludes cooperation in the genetic makeup. Our life, and industry (science, and religion are part of industry) are made up of dissimilar components. Industrial products come and go, humanity continues with, or without. Life, and humanity are ageless. Parents of the present-day generation embraced, unknowingly, science over ancestral heritage. Science, because the purpose of the field of study is diverted by industry, will perish with the industry as we have witnessed many times in the past few decades. Evaluate the pharmaceutical industry, its existence is firmly rooted to growth in disease. Disease growth cannot be seen as growth of human ingenuity, it should be perceived as degradation of human quality. Growth of degrading human condition must be objectively evaluated by the youth of today. Mistakes committed by our parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents should not handcuff the youth. What is spread in our universe is ancestral antiquity. It is ageless, and non perishing. Like life, it exists silently as can be witnessed in nature brilliantly. Ancestral knowledge is how a bird builds a nest, a tortoise upon hatching heads, unguided, to the ocean, a plant converts carbon dioxide to oxygen, and myriad processes of life in the entire galactical systems are firmly rooted in ancestry. Ancestry is more. Ancestry is deep. Ancestry is eternal. A child commits faux pas occasionally. Our immediate ancestral generations opted for the wrong choice. Children of today have the potential to fix ancestral missteps. Life would not continue if mistakes remained eternal. Post-modern times are a chance for the youth to ascend to the top and take humanity soar once again.
