Enjoyer and the enjoyed. Two distinct entities. An object cannot enjoy itself. It will exist. Unutilized. Pleasure is not derived in a solo existence. The value of truth will be lost too. Truth, enjoyment, and existence cannot be perched upon an individualistic platform. The vast Universe will become purposeless. Whether one assumes evolution, or creation, non-utilitarian existence, logically and philosophically, is an unsustainable thought. Does a company manufacture products without customers? Every product and service are targeted for consumption. Similarly, vastness of space is also targeted for consumption. Fire consumes Air, Air consumes Fire, Sound consumes, both, Air and Fire, Fire consumes Water, Fire consumes Earth, Fire consumes lives; Fire, the enjoyer, enjoys the Universe. Close observation will reveal an enjoyer and enjoyed relation in every object. In this relation, enjoyer and the enjoyed are, both, insentient. Enjoyer is not aware of what is being enjoyed. Fire enjoys everything without distinction because it cannot identify the best object it consumed. All are equal. When all is equal, the wide array of differences we identify exist superficially.
Enjoyer animal also consumes a wide range of objects. A blade of grass enjoys becoming a part of a nest, and meal for grazing animals; flowers consumed by bees; swamp enjoyed by the beasts; prey enjoyed by the predator; insentient to insentient enjoyment multifaceted. Enjoyer and the enjoyed indistinct. However, enjoyed becomes enjoyer through biological transformation. Blade of grass to a cow; worm to a bird; bird to a snake; one thing to the other. A cycle of endless transformations sans awareness. Analytically, and deductively these transformative changes we witness are meaningless unless every object we witness is in pursuit of reaching a sentient enjoyer. A throne is decorated when the occupant is worthy of ruling and governing. If the occupier is unworthy, the throne’s decorum will be stained. Insentient as the throne may be, but the value of an insentient throne is elevated, only, with a respected occupant. It is rational and principled to assume that all these insentient objects are in search for a sentient superior object. Search for superiority, and superior status is a natural inclination. It is unnatural, and degrades existence to accept anything less.
The vastness is in search of a superior existence. Human race is the only sentient object on Earth. We can, conclusively, identify differences between enjoyer and the enjoyed. We are the enjoyer. Everything around, enjoyed by us. Sentient supremacy.
Just as Enjoyer, and the Enjoyed are different, ‘I,’ and our body are distinct as well. ‘I’ is the sentient, our body insentient. Sentient controls our body. All the functions a human body performs are for the pleasure of sentient ‘I.’ Our sensory, or functional organs cannot relish upon feast, or beauty. Sentient ‘I’ is the micro manifestation of our Universe, the body a macro embodiment. Micro and macro embodiment is present in every object.
Why would the human race exist as a superior, and distinct race when we can decisively witness a sentient and insentient component in every object? A galaxy, a star, a planet, elements, a stone, a tree, a fly, a bird, an animal, and a human, all, are indistinct materially, but distinct physically. Essential composition is identical in every object. Body manifestation differs. Sentient ‘I’ travels from one body to another body. What we consider as death is, only, for the body. ‘I’ remains, and reemerges in another body. ‘I’ has to reemerge because it did not perish with the body. It is imperishable.
Body is made up of elements in nature. Just as nature endures changes, our body undergoes expansion and contraction. An object that experiences expansion, and contraction will perish over a period of time. Long as the Enjoyer occupies our body, it functions. When the Enjoyer departs, the body becomes wood. Sensory organs do not function. Cremation, or burial, the body does not challenge. Insentient body remains unperturbed, loses identification of a name, culture, and region to become a dead body. Our near and dear commence the preparations to, promptly, dispose of the body. Life ends. Or does it?
When the Enjoyer departs the body, where will the ‘I’ go? ‘I’ is not subjected to expansion and contraction. It exists timelessly. The Enjoyer exists is proven. Enjoyer is impregnable. Enjoyer travels from one body to another. The Enjoyer is identical in all bodies. An identical, impregnable, traveling from one body to another, rationally, must contain matter worthy for another journey. Sentient ‘I’ cannot be emptiness.
Sentient possesses 10 sensory and functional organs in microscopic form. The sensory organs on a body are the manifest form of the organs. Manifest form is functional, only, when the microscopic activators of sensory and functional organs are existent in a body. Observe a dead body, all the organs are intact; yet they do not function. Why should they cease to function? When the Enjoyer departs, Enjoyed object is isolated. Without an Enjoyer, Enjoyed is impotent and useless. Purposeless, an object does not exist.
The 10 sensory and functional organs do not exist in isolation in micro form. It has to be governed by another entity. For what is seen, heard, smelled, touched, tasted has to be recognized by another entity. Fragrant aroma has to be acknowledged by a superior entity. Aroma cannot appreciate aroma. Only intelligence can appreciate and reciprocate with olfactory sense. Ditto with other sensory perceptions. That entity with the Enjoyer is mind. Mind is the governing agent for the sentient. Mind is not synonymous with the brain in a body. Once again, the same rule applies observing the motionless body. Brain in a dead body did not depart. It exists embedded in the skull. Functioning of the brain has ceased. Mind is a microscopic element of the sentient, which governs the sensory and functional organs when the Enjoyer exists in a manifest body.
Ten sensory, and functional organs plus mind exist with the Enjoyer eternally. Three additional components make up the eternal Enjoyer. We will discover them in Part 3. When we awaken to the Enjoyer, enjoyed blossoms in our body with beautiful and sensual fragrance, and keep at bay elements that damage the body. When we awaken to humanitarian fragrance, we awaken to a Post-Modern world.
