A speck of dust comes alive when Sun’s rays penetrate a window. Riding the light waves, and revealing itself to the sentient human, the dust speck revels in the energy of the Sun to threaten our solitude in a menacing way. It should make us wonder if we are, ever, alone in this Universe! Our existence is crowded with a vast array of invisible matter, but we journey nonchalantly, irreverentially, uncaringly, and ignorantly. Lamentable that a distinct, and superior race living a life less rewarding than a speck of dust should be alarming to humanity. Speck of dust does not deserve our cerebral attention; our existence, and diminished capacity to reach the peaks of existential heights has to be reexamined. Human life, whether a peasant, or royalty, possesses abilities that deliver to us our highest aspirations. It gets delivered to us. We are not required to go after loftiness, it will come to us. Generation after generation, humanity is coming into existence with less and less capacity for qualitative attributes. We are shrinking qualitatively. A speck of dust did not abandon its qualitative attribute; alas, the same is not true for the human race.
Our existence relies upon language. Usefulness of language is not limited to communication. It is an integral part of language functionality. Language is a comprehensive tool for humanity to discover everything large and small, and their influences on the surrounding environment. It is a means to evaluate existential necessity, objectively. Where would our lives be if we did not have words to suggest feelings. We do not see feelings, but words awaken us to an invisible phenomenon. Words for impact on sentient, and insentient. Sentient can be understood easily; why should we have words to suggest impact on insentient objects? Finally, language is an ancestral inheritance. Modern generations did not create language, but we take birth to experience ancestral riches of language. Language, a rich treat for humanity.
Denigrating richness, without discretion, fits modern times aptly. Our ability to measure greatness, and immerse ourselves in the riches of life are diminishing because language has become reductive. Like an alien species destroying flora and fauna of our environment, language reductionism has invaded humanity. Ignorance, and impiety masquerade as intelligence, irrational questioning of ancestral wisdom is seen as progressive, indifference in life is regarded as freedom, and ascension of individualism are all qualitative indicators of decadence of language. Philosophically, logically, and observationally humanity must discover that quality manifests first, and object later. Just as light of the Sun spreads first, and then Sun makes a grand entry into our world, qualitative manifestation of degradation appears first as well. Natural process in our Universe. Quality first, object subsequently.
Language, which should elevate our minds to the pinnacle of existence, is robbed with drunken misuse by merging sentient and insentient differences. Words provide us with discerning ability just with an utterance. Physical presence of the object is not mandated when language is deployed appropriately. However, what we are witnessing is a complete disregard for the rules of language. A business apologizes for an inadvertent, or deliberate mistake. Are we expected to view the business entity as a living being? Is it sentient, or insentient? How does humanity witness the authenticity of a business’ regret? Questions should abound the human race when we are accosted to language that make sentient and insentient differences disappear. Humanity is not threatened by catastrophic natural events, but we are proving to be our own worst enemy, reducing immensity to ordinary, elevating ordinary to extraordinary, and losing distinction between sentient and insentient. Our existence, truth, and ability to ascend higher in life take a blow each time words uttered carelessly, and meaning reduced. We dismiss, easily, the existence of something larger because the power of usage is reduced.
Thoughts get reduced in humanity when we exist in a comparative state. When thought is reduced, or narrows, our existential richness narrows as well. Human life is intricately tied to language, which provides a philosophical and logical platform for, both, physical and meta worlds. We deny the existence of the meta world, and turned human existence, solely, to the physical space seeking ‘better’ in everything. Are we independently trying to create a better physical environment for our needs? No. We are relying upon an outsider to make situations and objects better! Have we not squandered away our existential rights to a third party? In such an environment what meaning does the word ‘freedom’ possess? Everything we seek is in the possession of an outsider, what interest do they have to release us?
Better Education. Better Health. Preventive Care. Healthcare Provider. Safer. Countless other examples of words, or phrases in our everyday life exist in a Utopian world. We do not accept ‘heaven,’ but we choose to accept the existence of an uber-state for health, education, and so on. Truth dies for humanity when we choose to, ignorantly, fall into a trap of existence in a comparative state. One must investigate, and ruminate the veracity, and start the process of dismissing continuous baseless betterment of humanity. We should not seek betterment; we should be aiming for the best. Best in life is possible by rediscovering appropriate methodology to deploy language to discover truth, and ascension in life. Truth is eternal. Truth is a quality. Truth is life. Truth is nature. Truth is our existence. But who we are is a mystery. Self-discovery had been our ancestral pursuit, and life was elegant as a smile of a just born child, or speck of dust radiating in the glory of radiating Sun. Ancestral inherited language will also return to former glory when Nature welcomes the Post-Modern era.
