Is Modernity in Peril?

Duality in life: with Nature, and Nature Absent. Due to the superiority of human race, we can live with dual entities: Nature, and Nature Absent. It is not a new phenomenon of modern era. Superiority of our race is not accreted over eons as seen in human produced goods. Humans would lose the superior quality had it been achieved progressively. Observe the products produced by human ingenuity. Each successive iteration usurps the previous version. Superiority of the original innovation, over a period of time, becomes obsolete. Improvements in performance, looks, ease of use, and plethora of other factors makes the original innovation a relic sought after by antique dealers. We purchase the same item, repeatedly, on the marketing strength of superiority of a product. Perfection does not exist in any version of the product. Imposed superiority! Nature Absent! State of manufactured goods. Did humanity acquire, superiority, progressively like manufactured goods? No. Human superiority was, is, and will continue to exist with superiority. It is not an imposed quality as in manufactured goods; Nature Absent. Better version of humans, like cellular phones, will not be achieved reproductively, or designed by bio-engineers in a laboratory. Humans, unlike other species, exist to achieve transformative superiority. Purpose of humanity is to reach the zenith of life, which is attained by knowledge. Knowledge transforms to intelligence through application in daily life. Living with intelligence, every moment, is the requisite component of human superiority. Minus intelligence distinction between animals and inanimate objects, and humans is void.

Humanity possesses terabytes of knowledge stored in data centers across the world. Everything is recorded, analyzed, discussed, published, and thrust upon humanity to create better version of humanity on a continual basis. Like time, which is unimpacted, these Nature Absent machines work, tirelessly, to solve problems, and turn humanity into a better version than previously existed hasn’t impacted human race in the most fundamental aspects of life. Evidence does not exist to support that the vast energy consuming computational devices, world class organizations, scientists, business leaders, and governing bodies, are near vicinity of delivering on the promise of a better tomorrow. Everything is at the finger tips, yet, everything, humanity values, is far away like the distant galaxies. 

AI. Bio-engineering. Computers and cell phones. Democracy. Economics. Fair Trade. Google. Healthcare. Innovation. Joystick. Knowledge Base. Lifelog. Metaverse. Nanotechnology. Oceanic Exploration. Planetary Exploration. Quantitative Easing. Robots. Space Exploration. Undo. Value Learning Problem. WebOps. XML Bomb. Youtube. Zucked. A to Z filled to the brim with knowledge. Nature Absent knowledge. Lifeless. Mere glance of news is sufficient to conclude that the vast arsenal of knowledge accumulated in the past few decades creates problems, which is uncharacteristic of intelligence.

Intelligence does not possess problem as an attribute. Intelligence is free from problems. Intelligence is strength. Intelligence is Nature. Intelligence is joy. Intelligence is cooperation. Intelligence is effulgence. Intelligence is liberating force. Intelligence is the driver of everything around us. From atomic to galactic objects radiates intelligence. Our universe is intelligence. Our natural habitat is intelligence. Our life, from a blade of grass to human species, is predicated upon intelligence. Intellectual wonder. Wonder is admirable. An unrevealed magic. Revealed, joy of the act vanishes. We should wonder, and ponder to discover the depths of intelligence of our universe. Each generation must discover, anew, wonderment of life. Systems of learning and life must kindle the wonderment for humanity to discover the joy of life. A life of joy is a life free of problems. For joy does not perish over time; as evidenced by the fond way humanity recalls joyful events, or moments. Joy gains strength over time. Even a folly, when it produces transformative result in an individual, delivers joy. Intelligence is joy. It is, eternally, joyful. Nature.

Joyful existence of humanity turned joyless with the intrusion of ignorance. Ignorance delivers problems. Unsolvable problems. How? Natural and intelligent systems of existence, and learning are usurped with Nature Absent, and lifeless systems of existence, and learning. Modern systems of existence such as Democracy, Capitalism, Economics, and other branches all are enervated. Lifeless. Life is not a factor in its development. Dead entity. Humanity swimming in problems in an ocean of Nature Absent systems and products. Life outsourced to technology. Living with problems in society. Living with fear of neighbors, and nations. Fragile systems of existence, which, our leaders, communicate is in crisis, be it democracy, economy, care for the sick, or the present pandemic, environment, climate, pollution, and various other problems. How can systems of existence and learning, which delivered problems ever solve problems for humanity? How can enervated systems lift humanity just as it did for the ultra-rich, assuming wealth accumulation as the sole purpose for humanity? For the past two centuries plus, humanity, has acclimatized life with purposeless and unintelligent pursuits, strayed from Nature, embraced Nature Absent endeavors, and aimlessly awaits a liberating dawn. 

The present era of post-Renaissance dominance of Global affairs, which depend on Lifeless and Nature Absent systems, is an aberration in human history. Aberration in human history is an aberration in nature. For humanity is an inherent part of nature. Nature, we discovered logically, is intelligence. Intelligence delivers solutions. Thus, Nature will strike humanity with cataclysmic events to bring the state of existence to an equilibrium. History is replete with examples of humanity losing to nature in the annals of time. For each individual, alive today, came into existence on the strength of 131,072 ancestors. That figure goes back mere 15 generations. Hundreds of trillions of humans existed for humanity to achieve population of seven billion. Humanity would not balloon to seven billion with trillions of ancestors living life in ignorance. They lived with intelligence. They lived with Nature. Nature Absent tools were very much a part of ancestral lives as well. Nucleus of human life, and for every molecule, is intelligence. 

 What we are witnessing in human history, in the present era, is weeding out humanity by spreading ignorance. Nature doesn’t expend energy aimlessly. Ignorance and lifeless pursuits are the best tool in Nature’s arsenal. Only ignorance allows humanity to find intelligence in insentient objects. Only ignorance enables the mind to pursue artificial intelligence. Only ignorance normalizes abnormal behavior as humanity witnesses in society. Only ignorance finds comfort in conveniences without realizing that humans are being entrapped to an entity providing convenience. Ignorance, a tsunami that will undo the pseudo progress of Post-Renaissance Era.

Who amongst us is intelligent to survive the tsunami of ignorance? That is the question we should ask ourselves. The dawn of Post-Modern era is just around the corner.
